Shopify WhatsApp Order Automation

The workflow to solve
After placing an order, a customer needs to know whether it is confirmed, where the parcel is and whether delivery needs their attention. Those updates come from different systems.
What I built
Automated WhatsApp updates from order confirmation to delivery, helping customers stay informed and recover orders at risk of return.
- Order confirmation: A new Shopify order triggers a WhatsApp message. When the customer taps "Yes, Confirm", the order is confirmed and a WhatsApp confirmation tag is added in Shopify.
- Shipment tracking: When the Shopify order is fulfilled, the customer automatically receives a WhatsApp message with a live parcel-tracking link.
- Out for delivery: The server checks Leopards Courier status and sends a WhatsApp alert when the parcel is out for delivery, so the customer can prepare to receive it.
- Return alert: When the courier marks a parcel "Ready for Return", the customer receives a WhatsApp alert. Their reply lets the team follow up and help save the sale.
Delivered outcome
Order replies connect to Shopify confirmation tags, and customers receive tracking and courier-status messages at defined steps.
